My dv1000 lap top has a broken LCD. I found a part that fits it and before I install it, Do I need to download a driver for it?? I am not sure how things work when replacing an LCD screen. Any advise would be awesome. Oh and I have it all taken apart and all I need is screw it in and connect the wires.

No, you won't need a driver. The chances are pretty good that it won't work, though, unless it's an identical LCD.

Plug it in screw it on and turn it on...you should not need any drivers...not to often I see a woman try this..no offense intended...Glad to see!!
