I was wondering if anyone knew if Dubar, AT, Brinks or any of the other amored car services would even consider hiring anyone without police or military background. Also does anybody know roughly want a armored truck guard would start out at?

I am currently going through the hiring process with Dunbar. I have no military or police background. I am an avid hunter though so I have a lot of familiarity with firearms. I also have had my concealed permit for almost four years now. Where I applied at (in VA) the starting is $13/hr. It jumps to $14/hour once you get your gun training. I also have a CDL and I remember that gets me another salary increase though I don't remember quite how much. It is true that you have to pass drug testing/physical/credit checks. But, with the nature of their business can you blame them?

In Ohio my husband was offered a job with Brinks, after they did a background check, the job started out at 9$ an hour, and the fact that he has a conceal carry permit seemed to be a plus for them. He turned it down, but maybe in ur area they pay more. Hope this helps.

Yes they will hire without police or military background, but first you have to have A-1 credit, pass a drug test, pass a polygraph test, and have a clean record.
Start off pay is around $11.00 or $12.00 an hour and you work plenty of hours.
