My daughter is eight and she is one of the most hairy children I have ever seen. No joking or fun intended, but when she was born she looked like a baby monkey. She even has this little patch, which was much larger when she was born, of hair on her lower back that she herself calls monkey grass. Her hairy legs have not bothered her yet, but just as soon as they do, I will allow her to shave. Waxing the brows will come in the near future also. They start at the top and go all the way to the crease of her eyelid.

Yes, at 12 years old she probley has leg hair and wants to get rid of it. The best way to deal with this is a mother helping her learn how to shave her legs, not just letting her have a go at it and ripping up her legs. Set her down and tell her how to do it, how offen, why, and anything else she wants to know, it may seem emmbarssing but trust me she wants as much infomation as she can get. If your still not sure about shaving at 12 think about it, alot of girls started at 12 and she might be 1. teased 2. emmbarssed. You dont want either of these things, having hairy legs as a girl is not a thing you want to do. So just let her shave her legs if she wants. But make sure she does it the right way with the right teachings. Good luck with all of this!

Developmentally people are so different -- by 12 a girl may wear a 38 C and have been menstruating for 2 years, or just wearing a training bra waiting for puberty to start. It all depends if she needs to or not. Personally, I would let a daughter of mine at 12 shave her legs IF she wanted to, but I wouldn't pressure her to do it either. That would be something I would pretty much let her decide when to start (within reason, of course. I wouldn't let a six year old do it just to feel grown up). Maybe if the parents are concerned about her cutting herself, she can try an electric razor or something.

Yes, if a 12 yr old wants to shave her legs, and she is responsible, I think she should be allowed to. It should not be entirely the parents choice, since it is not the parents' legs, but the parents should have some say in the matter. I suggest you work with your parents and ask your mom to show you how to do it. Also, research the risks associated with shaving (painful ingrown hairs, pimples, dry skin, bumps, etc.). No matter how careful you are, you are guaranteed to have at least one of those problems.

Yes.
No.
Yes.
I started shaving my legs when I was 12 on my own. Most girls have started shaving their legs by the time they are 12 or 13 because the hair shows by then.

Yes, I was allowed to shave my legs at 10 almost 11 years old. But before I was allowed to my mom sat me down and taught me exactly how to. I was only allowed to shave my lower legs until I was older.
If she really wants to shave her legs Its better you teach her how to before she tries herself. (my cousin did that and ended up cutting up her legs!) I would suggest sitting her down and telling her what she can and cannot shave (ie. thighs, arms, ect) twelve is around the age where girls are just now noticing all that hair on their legs and becoming self-concious about it. I believe a twelve year old should be allowed to shave her legs.

I think if you are bothered by the hair on your legs then yes you should be allowed to shave. Have you talked to your mom about this so she can help you obtain the items you will need to do this? Whatever you do just be careful and don't cut yourself.

confident, because of the fact by ability of that age virtually all females are shaving. So if one woman does not then they gained't slot in and could be made relaxing of. hear to me I wasn't waiting to shave till at last i became 13, whilst i became twelve i might desire to discover no one aside from me that did no longer shave. and undesirable stuff occurred to me. i became made relaxing of. Worst 365 days of my existence. So my mom finally enable me shave.
