Maybe, if you lived together for the entire year, and his gross income was under $3300. If you lived together only part of the year, or he made over $3300, then you can't.

Even if you can claim him as a dependent, he would not be a qualifying person for you to file as head of household, so you'd still have to file as single if you're single.
