I am pretty sure you know who Superman is. As for Monkey King, I am Monkey King. I have 72 transformation. I can fly. I am very good at fighting with demons. My weapon is the golden cudgel that could shrink or grow if I tell it too. I am invincible. No weapon can kill me, ask the Jade Emperor. I can do anything.
So do you think I, the so powerful and handsome Monkey King, can beat Superman in a battle ?

I think I need to explain more about Monkey King, since the one who know about Monkey King vote for him only. Here is the history:
Sun Wu Kong was born out of a rock on the mountain of Ao Lai. He learns to live with the monkeys nearby and becomes their leader when he crossed the waterfall on the Flower Fruit Mountain. Later, he wreac havoc in heaven after learning the 72 magical powers and later was imprisoned under a mountain by Buddha for 500 years. When he was released by Tripitaka, he went with Tripitaka to India to get the Buddhist Sutra. Along the way, he fight many demons and rescue Tripitaka from danger many many times. In the end he become "Buddha of Victorious Battles".
Monkey King can breathe in outerspace. He is like a god with 72 transformation power. If kryptonite is what it takes to defeat Superman, than Monkey King can easily transform his hair into kryptonite.

Superman is just powerful and isn't that intelligent. Monkey King is powerful, can fly like superman, intelligent, and has all sorts of magic power. I wouldn't even compare superman to monkey king. But it is because Western super heroes are so popular, it just made many people think their heroes are better.

I know about the history of monkey king, monkey king is also called as Son Wukong in chinese and Son is actually a god. He stole a peach and was punished by the heavenly gods. I would say Son Wukong would win because he got 72 transformations and he's unbeatedable.

I am a great fan of Superman so it saddens me to say that since Monkey Kings powers are magic based, he would lose this one.
However, if given a second shot, he would win the follow up battle due to superior intelligence and finding the source of your power and cutting it off.
