I agree with you. I'm a straight woman and I have many gay friends and I've been supportive of the gay community for several years. I'm very protective over my gay friends and the older I get the more I despise this homophobia.

I just wanted to comment on the above answer, my brother and I are twins. Exact same up bringing, same gifts for Xmas, bdays ext ... I'm gay he is not. It has nothing to do with the the surroundings, otherwise we would be the same. We are born this way. Growing up he wanted GI Joe's, I wanted Jem and Barbie. So don't bother answering the things you think you know things about :-)

Please don't say all of you. I absolutely have no problem with you.I don't like to be put in a category just as you don't like it. But I do feel your frustration and wish people wouldn't be so critical of everyone. It is like others think they are right and want to make sure they are heard. I like you do not appreciate people putting their noses into others business when they haven't a clue what they are talking about. Yes you are right , they should deal with their own problems but unfortunately they don't think they have the problem.

I'm not gay, but I think you're totally right.
In Philosophy, and even the Catholic church recognizes this, being gay is treated as a condition, not a choice.
A condition is anything that you're born with, for example, being heterosexual/gay, or even having long/short hair, and the like.

They want to stick their noses into our lives and pretend to know everything they believe is true. My guess is they have too many problems of their own to handle, that they need to create trouble for us.

Waa. Grab a tissue and cry my a river. Nobody cares anymore so stop trying to be a victim. You're getting your right to marry, you have political protection and special rights. Still not getting enough attention? Start another tv show or have a friggin parade and stick your sexuality in everyone's face.
Most people, myself included, could not give a damn if you are gay or straight. Stop complaining and enjoy life.

It's not the way you were born. It was your environment, your surrounding, what you were exposed to, the behaviors you experienced, and your perspective kicked in.
