No, I am not puzzled. They actually justify the support they give by claiming that the other side (Gore, Kerry) would have implemented even worse policies if they were elected.
Since Gore and Kerry lost, such justification is just more speculation to make themselves feel better.
Every man and woman who pay taxes in this country "donates" an extra $2000 a year in taxes to just pay the interest on the national debt. This is very similar to people who pay interest-only loans on their mortgage. The big difference is that we chose to pay that mortgage; we didn't choose to pay an extra $2000+ a year, every year, for nothing. We, as taxpayers, get nothing for that $2000. It all goes to someone else's pocket to pay off the interest on the debt.
$300 billion in interest payments divided by 150 million taxpayers = $2000 per taxpayer. That's simple math that people could have calculated 6 years ago but didn't. And still haven't.
What did Bush do? He gave us a one-time $300 tax relief several years back. Big deal. What's $300 one-time compared to the $12000+ I paid extra in taxes to pay off the ever growing debt since 2000 -- a national debt that's growing at record pace thanks to Bush. Bush simply made it possible for a small minitory to make even more money off the backs of taxpayers from the huge interest payments we all pay.
Bush pays us lip service on how tax cuts boosts the economy. His record-breaking spending sprees ensures that in the next 50 years we will not get the real tax cut -- the $2000 amount -- that we all should be getting.
Then there's the non-existent WMDs. It was obvious from the start that such weapons didn't exist. That is why the military went to Baghad with their shock and awe instead of trying to secure the alleged weapons from Saddam Hussein. You would think that capturing known stockpiles of these deadly weapons would be more important than capturing a civilian city that don't have it. But apparently, the people didn't think so.

Im puzzled by the things people like yourself typ.. I wonder where you get your information and how it is that you have come to be so naive...
hundreds of thousands of deaths?? thats some creative mathmatics where did you get your schooling?
Now the Mexico border issue I will agree with you on without argument.
the North American Union issue... are you saying you believe that democrats would not do this? well they have control of congress now so lets see shall we.. believe me its more likely to happen with a socialist leaning group of people than not.
Some day people eventually discover that the have been misled to a large degree. They think that they are pursuing the truth and come to find out that they were getting fed more junk and lies from those people than the ones they thought were the liers in the first place.

I am not puzzled. His idea was to get re-elected by using fear, remember the color coded threat levels before re-election? The war was just starting and winning there, automatic re-elected. Doesn't he has relatives married people south of border? Which company has the big contract in Iraq? Then which party controlled the house, senate, the court and the white house? How's thing? I didn't vote for him for sure!

You're preaching to the choir here, but, ever hear of the dumbing of America? That's a big part of it. Everyone in this modern society(most all) is invested in it's success as well as it's failure. How to keep people from throwing good energy back into the rathole is a puzzling thing. Way back when I was a genius ( a teenager) I could have told you how. Bona Fortuna.(Good Luck)

I think it is pride, they can not accept the fact that huge mistakes have been made regarding Iraq. I have also noticed that he biggest supporters, don't have a personal interest in Iraq, such as a family member. The situation in Iraq is bad and getting worse every day.

I'm puzzled that people blindly follow the likes of Hill and Obama.
Since neither seem to have a plan for any of the above mentioned problems. Can you give me one solution to a problem that they have come up with? If you can, edit your question and put it in there. Or click on the name and email me. The dems have not come up with any answers either. Not one. Just a few months ago they said we need more troops in Iraq. But now that the Pres says he's sending more troops, they hate it. And with the other problems, not one solution. Both the Dems and the Repubs have let us down.

I do not know what you refer to. Most support the President because he is the president.
We have to fight in Iraq and Afghanistan because if we do not, they will come here.
The spending problem is from both parties.
No specifics on rights, typical of drive-by liberals.
Bush is wrong on the borders and so are the Democrats.
Do you get paid for all the propaganda you spread?
