Am I Bisexual or not?

OK I am 12 years old right now OK? One of my best friends just told me that they were bi. I said that i wouldn't treat her any differently. But now I think I am starting to like her. She understands me really well and she helps me on question like this. I didn't;t want to ask her just because she would know that I like her and that I might be Bi sexual. Also if she did become my girlfriend. What happens if other people pick on me and then guys think I am just plain Lesbain which I still like guys and I always have. I also live in a town where it is really small and that there is only like 5 people tops that are bi. Please help me fast! Thank you!

At your age, your sexuality is just starting to awaken. Many times boys and girls your age have sexual urges toward the same sex. It's part of growing up and developing, sexually. That doesn't mean you are a lesbian or a bisexual female. It just means you are growing up.

Today, with so much openness about sexuality, it seems youngsters are labeling themselves earlier and earlier -- as to what their sexual orientation is. And also remember that girls and women tend to be much more emotional towards each other, quite naturally, than boys or men are. Liking girls in an emotional way is not an indication of homsexuality or bisexuality for you either.

Having said that, bisexuals do tend to notice feelings (and sexual urges) toward the same sex around your age. (Actually, homosexual girls and boys notice a "difference" about themselves much earlier.) If you continue to have these feelings and urges, into your teenage years and into young adulthood, you are probably a bisexual gal, as you guessed at.

And by the way, pay no attention to these characters who might answer your question in a mean way. Most of the people who answer in such an ignorant manner have no people skills anyway and no true basic knowledge of human development.

If this issue continues to bother you, talk it over with a school counselor.

I think you can talk about it with your friend but I don't think you should do anything because you are only 12!!!!
For Christs sake. . .enjoy your childhood for a little while longer.
Believe me you will miss it when it is gone.
I understand small town life. I lived in one myself.
I recommend you be very discreet, but not do anything for a few years yet, and keep it a private thing.
This may sound crazy but work hard, very hard in school get scholarships to good universities like Berkley or UC Davis and wait for your adult life to start openly experimenting sexually.
You will cause yourself a lot of stress and heart ache if you try to fight the world now. You don't owe anyone but yourself outright honesty about your sexuality. And there is plenty of time to figure out what that is.
And when you grow up you will be able to offer a more understanding home to your kids, if you have them.
For now talk this out with your friend and you want to kiss a little bit fine but make sure you don't get caught. You have no idea the can of worms you will be opening up.
Like I said i know small town life.
And with boys always follow safe sex practices (condoms) and put intercourse off for, say, a good five years.
Long story short, you're 12, don't be in such a big rush.

Twelve is a young age to figure out one's sexuality. Some people do though, so you could be bisexual and it not be a passing phase. I'd say just follow you heart and be ready to face ignorant, hateful people. No matter what you're going to be different from everybody else and people are going to dislike you for being different. It's something we all have to learn to deal with. Unfortunately some people learn that lesson sooner than others. Good luck!

You have to ask urself if u can see urself dating this girl... Being that ur only 12, it's hard to decide what u feel at this point... I wouldn't say anything to this girl about it, unless u are totally sure! In a few years if u still feel this way, then I would say more than likely u are bi... Talk to someone (who knows u really well) about ur feelings... Like ur mother... She probably will understand ur confusion...

Maybe you're seeing this in the wrong way.
Why?
At that age, you shouldn't be liking either of them!
It's quite normal that if, you have a strong bond to a person, and being your age, you feel something that resembles "sexual love"... But lemme tell you something, the worst mistake you can do on your life is confusing true friend love, to sexual love.
Just wait a little longer, and try to have the best time with your friend.

Listen kid! You better get your life together and figure out the difference between little boys and little girls. I know you watch a lot of TV and you see women on there kissing each other and you think that's cool...it aint cool! It's called all mixed up in the head that's what it's called.
If I knew your mother I'd cuss her *** out for allowing you to even get caught up in that stupidity. Don't be a follower kid, learn to think for yourself. No matter what people tell you a woman holding hands with another woman or a man kissing on another man is not normal and the people you see doing it need help! Get yourself a boyfriend like a normal little girl and just be friends with this girl!

I doubt if you are. The liberal society has started to trick peoples minds into believing that they are thing which they actually arent. Stick with boys until youre about 20 when you will feel more sure of what you really want.
