20% to a decimal is 0.20. Basicaly you just move the decimal over to the left twice when changing to a decimal and when you want to change it to a percent move the decimal over to the right twice. 1.35 to a percent is 135%. 15% to a decimal is 0.15. Get the idea? Good luck! Also you can multiply a decimal by 100 for instance .50 x 100 is 50.0 also known as 50%. Or you can do 50.0 divided by 100 which is 0.50. Hope that helped. Like if you want to find a grade in percent you got, say you got a 8/10 on a test, you would divide 8 by 10 then multiply by a 100 and you get your percent which is an 80%. ;D

Understand that percent = per 100. So a percent is a factor of 100 from the decimal number. Take 2000% reduce it by a factor of 100 (or move the decimal over 2 spots, you have 20.00. As a fraction, since it is an integer would be 20.00/1 or 20/1 or 20. As with 500% reduce it, you have 5.00. As a fraction it would be 5.00/1 or 5/1 or 5

any percent less than 10% add a zero on the left to make it a decimal
2% becomes .02
Over 10% put a decimal to the left of the one
10% is .10 or .1
101% is 1.01 and so on

it's easy...to change from a percent to a decimal, start at the right hand side of the number, and add a decimal point two places to the left.
if you are starting with a decimal, move the decimal point two places to the right and add a percent sign (%)
so...
6% is .06
62% is .62
115% is 1.15
hope that helps

Take the top number and divide the bottom number into it, then put the decimal point in front of the answer. For a percent, remove the decimal point from the answer, and place a % in back of it. Best of luck to you!!
