well i have a dress thats pink but what shoes to wear heels or high platforms and how to wear my hair anything but a bun!!!(i look bad in buns)THis is for a fancy party were people have lots of money!!!!

If this is a fancy party, the last thing you want to wear are platforms. They scream high school and immature (no offense). You should go for a very sleek high heel. Since it is a pink dress, the best color for shoes would be a nice silver, open-toed heel. I personally like the silver shoes with the diamond-looking straps because they add sparkle and shine without looking juvenile. Also, as for your hair, if it is long, I would use a 2" barrel curling iron and create big, loose curls. Just make sure to use an anti-frizz product and don't use too much hair spray. Also, the best way to get curls to stay (you know how they usually fall out immediately after styling??), start at the roots and curl one round, not the whole strand, and then pull the iron down to the tips and curl the entire strand from bottom to top. The curl at the roots in the beginning will enable the curl to stay for longer. Or, a sleek, low pony-tail is also an elegant touch if you don't want to wear a bun. Just make sure that your hair has been straightened and does not have any natural wave. Hope this helps a little.

Pink dress- that's loud enough, so play down everything else.
Silver shoes Strappy-heels- platforms are too chunky for a fancy event.
Get a matching purse- even if its Pay less. Smaller is better.
Wear natural colored stockings, its more friendly.
Go to the Walmart, look at the UPDO's in maginzines and get an ideas of HOW they look.
If you wear your hair UP- go to Claires and get two Silver fancy combs to pull it up into a french twist (bobby pin it completely)and then add the two combs end to end as the classic touch.
If you want to wear pony tail, then slick it back and wear a pretty ornamented tie or even a black satin ribbon.
Wear either chandlier earrings if you have a long neck-no necklace or simple silver rhinestones (fake diamond-studs) with a simple Y necklace. (That is the way I would go and advise.)
Do go an purchase a scarf/wrap in a flat black or flat gray to wrap your shoulder IN, that will break up the PINK sea and draw attention to your pretty face.
On your face, keep it simple. use a gray/purple/mauve color on your eyes with a slate liner and black mascara. Wear a pale pink liner on your lips and a gloss. Be sure to put blush on your roses of your cheeks, pink can wash you out.
If your hair and skin are fair- really really wear a darker mauve lipstick, you will loose your face if you don't.
If your skin is dark and your hair is dark- keep it simple,
Pick Eyes OR Lips to play up- both is too much!
Since your hair is UP- do the eyes- the earrrings will draw it upward.

Shop wisely- you can literally get all these items for under $50-75 dollars since most holiday stuff is on sale and its "timeless" and classic- choose wisely.
I have seen [with the right dress] all the wrap. shoes, purse and hair ribbon in a chocolate brown or a flat black colors, with large pearls. That's a bolder statement, so be ready for that. IT is more trendy.

Personally i'd opt for heels because they always look more sophisticated (which is probably good at a fancy party) and i'd try a messy look for the hair. If you have wavy hair, use an anti-frizz product (even if your hair isnt frizzy) and loosely pull the hair back with your fingers, to about halfway down your head at the back (leave front layers that may fall out there), then secure with an elastic, perhaps wrap a small section of hair underneath the pony up around the elastic and secure with bobby pins. tame flyaways and curls with hair spray. Alternatively, straighten long hair and curl the bottom sections so they flip up randomly (note- this only works with very straight, preferably thin- medium hair) and hairspray, to achieve a more sexy look.

No don't wear your hair in a bun. Wear it down but curl it and try to make it look natural. As for shoes, wear heels, but not too high. I would wear silver shoes. Also, makeup should be a little bit more than minimal. if you know what I'm saying.

ok u can wear ballet flats(brown or black), or wear white(sparkly silver ones) heels...u can curl ur hair with a curling iron and pin ur hair away from ur face..that will look cute1 wear a bangle bracelet and grab a clutch with ur cell, keys, money etc. and i think ur good to go! :)

well girl get you a two piece pants suit with the matching hat with some nice black boats and about your hair try letting your hair down.
