My son was 5 pounds 9 ounces at birth, and at his two week checkup he was 6 pounds 1 ounce. He is six weeks now and a little over seven pounds.
The weight gain is perfectly normal.Don't worry about a thing, you're doing great.

It's normal. My baby ate every hour for the first month & 1/2, day & night. He's 6 months now and 22 pounds. They will keep gaining a lot then slow down when they become more active.

Every child is different. My daughter is 2 and she isn't a big eater, but she is very healthy. Just as adults, little ones have different body types and as long as they are putting on weight I would say you have nothing to wory about. Whenever you have questions about your child, write them down and ask your Doctor when you go in for scheduled visits. Sounds like things are going great. Congrats on the newborn!

My baby and i saw the doctor today for his first checkup away from the hospital, he is 12 days old now.
The doctor checked his weight against his birth weight and said that his weight gain was good, if he weighs more than his birth weight, that is a very good sign
