your friend might be thinking she won't be friends with this certain person ifshe'll be herself.. for example, she thinks a rich type wont make friends with her because she is poor,, or the popular ones because she's a nerd.. tell her in a very gentle manner that won't get her offended.. cite your feelings about her faking her total image and what may be the possible implications.,. in the end, only true friends will come to rescue her.. besides, if these friends find out she's been pretending allalong, they will hate her.. don't cut your friendship,, instead, help her face the world without any pretentions..

Have you told her how you exactly feel about the way she's acting. If she doesn't want to change then you should probably still be her friend. When or if she finally realizes that the other people don't really want to be her friend, she might become aware of the way this has affected the relationship between the two of you. She might get hurt when she realizes she's been used. If you feel that you can leave the friendship with no regrets, then you should leave. Or, you can keep your distance from her.

You know this is always a hard situation. The best thing that you can do is simply talk to her. I mean it is also hard to bring up this subject but if you are good friends then it shouldn't be a big deal and she will understand. Also if you are her friend you should at least try to understand her side of the situation. I know it is hard thought but people change and we can't always control it... all we can do is hope that they are making the right changes. Good luck and remember life is way funner when you can be you!

Well tell her that you think that she is acting strange to impress people and they won't be her real friends. And if that don't work, just stop talking to her for a while and see if she finally sees the truth.

You can't control what the friend does, only what you do.
I would approach the problem by thinking about what is the right thing to do by this person if I'm truly a friend and care about this person.

Maybe she is just trying to act cool to show off in front of you. Maybe you should sit down 1 on 1 and talk and tell her how you feel.

Get rid of any fake people in your life.
If she cant see that you are a real friend to her, well you deserve better.
