How much is the average service fee that a computer technician will charge for just comming out your house to look at your computer?

It might be easier and cheaper for you to take the computer in to your local repair shop. We only charge $55 an hour for labor and a lot of the time can finish in a half hour or less. But if we have to make a house call there is a minimum fee of $150 to cover gas and travel time.

I agree with the answer of finding someone local... a small business offering Computer Support (from the local ads or yellow pages even), or a college student, etc who is doing it for extra income.

The big companies usually charge anywhere from $75 to $150 an hour in our area... but I do this on the side and get paid $40/hour.

Sometimes your simple computer problems can be fixed yourself if you search the internet, or ask questions on forums (or here!). Good luck!

Probably between 50-100 an hour...it might be better to look in your local newspaper and see if there is someone that has a personal add that fixes computers...they are generally cheaper
