If I orderder on Amazon with the wrong email and never got the confirmation email, but later changed email...?

how do I know if my items are being shipped right now? They're used items, and I'm not sure if the seller will know to ship them.

Is the confirmation email just for me to review my purchases, or must I confirm something to Amazon or the seller so that they know it is me?

The confirmation email is just to inform you of your order number, shipping date, etc.

If you printed your order number, which is shown when the order is completed as well as emailed to you, you can check on the order status.

If I were you, I'd update my personal details and correct the email address.

You can also contact Amazon about the problem and they would be able to help you. Your credit card # will provide ample identity.
