find a hard working family where both the husband and wife works 60 hours a week just to barely make ends meat and still have to rent an apartment because they cant afford a house and their kids where the clothes that you buy at Goodwill by the pound...

wow that was a long question, yet I didnt ask it yet...

I guess my question is, how much is the most amount of money you would give that family who was a stranger to you??? The only thing they did for you was the wife was your maid for 5 hours a week that she could do between her other jobs.

Remember you had $100 million.

So what would you do???

I'm not sure that money is as helpful as time. I used to have some neighbors that were really stuggling. One day the Dad was bemoaning, "oh, if I only had $80!!" So I gave him $80. The next week he was all bemoaning again. I said, what did you do with the $80 dollars I gave you? He was like, ah, ummm, uh, I spent it... um, I bought some gas... and some milk. He didn't even know what he had spent it on. What he needed was to learn how to write up a budget and make ends meets. He needed to learn how to set priorities. Money didn't really help him- he needed life skills.

I would pay for the services rendered. Nothing more. If they asked my advice about financial matters I'd gladly give it. Highly unlikely it would make a difference. People are broke because they make bad choices. Giving money to people seldom does anything for them in the long run. They'll probably spend it foolishly. Like they did with the money they had coming in. Literally every able bodied, able minded person in America has the resources to become prosperous. Most people struggle because they haven't got the brains to capitalize on what's available to them. I've given up on trying to educate people on financial matters. They always have an excuse as to why it's impossible for them. I'd give them all of the advice they would take. Which would probably be none.

If I had a $100 million, I defintly wouldnt do anything crazy, like give her a million dollars.
I would buy them a house. Probally a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, unless they had more kids and required more room.
I would also pay her good. Depending on where you live, Id pay her something around $56k/year.
After that, I wouldnt feel the need to do anymore, unless a situation would occur, but you can only do so much. They would have to seem like their trying, for me to keep helping. They would also have to be grateful. I wouldnt want to give to someone that expects me to give to them.
That's what I would do.

I think that I would probably buy them a house and pay all the bills for say two years so that way everything that they're working for is able to carry them through for a while.

I would teach them to budget their money because if they are working that hard they should have some extra money. I might loan them some for a downpayment.
