I'm kinda surprised, no one has mentioned "ya'll" (for 'you all'....yeah don't lecture on the grammar there!) It's pretty much a conversation piece in the south. (i.e. How ya'll doin' today?)
We curse a LOT (and by a lot, I truly mean a LOT...though not in "polite society" , just with our friends and family usually)
We also abbreviate just about everything in our speech.
There are also a lot of different regional sayings, depending on the part of the country you're originally from, and we haven't reached a consensus on "soda", "pop", "coke", "soda pop" or whatever else people call it (I call it soda).

I thought 'Hi' was an Americanism, and I'm pretty positive 'dude' is. Also y'all, but that's unique to the South, particularly Texas, and some Americans find it as appealing as nails on a chalkboard.

Americans tend to use more earthy curse words. It also depends on what region you are in. If you are talking about a friend it could be anything from bro, buddy, brother, vato and dawg. Haha.

We say, "Excuse me, do you speak english?"
Unless we are in America in which case its "?Se habla engles?"
By the way its funny I was just asking myself the same question a few hours ago.
We do say "****" a lot. I'm wondering if other nations find it as endearing as we find the english "bloody" or the australian "krike"
Any comments?

Redneck doesn't seem to be a widely known phrase outside of America.
