if that means y^2 then
divide both sides by 3/7
giving 9.33 recurring
then squareroot both sides giving
y = 3.055 to 3dp
I may be wrong

3/7y - 2 = 4
(isolate the 3/7y by adding 2 to both sides
3/7y = 6
(multiply each side by 7/3 to get y by itself)
y = 7/3 * 6/1 = 42/3 = 14
y = 14

y = 6 x 7/3
