If you have a block heater, plug it in. If you don't, then get some Power Service Diesel Fuel treatment from your local Advanced Auto Parts or Napa. Power Service will help the fuel from gelling up. Also it might help to cycle your glow plugs twice.

Make sure all of your glow plugs are good. I would look into installing an electric engine blanket. perhaps just laying something on top of the hood will help insulate and keep the engine heat stay around long enough.

i own a repair shop, and you really don't need to keep the glow lugs warm in it,you might use a block heater and keep the engine a little warmer, but the glow plugs will heat up when voltage is applied to them, and the timer comes on,they,ll heat up,and kick off if everything is right on them, good luck,i hope this help,s.
