Neither Barbs nor sharks are compatible with goldfish. Below you will find a link to a fish compatibility chart - it provides info on fish that can and can not be kept together .

Look for "resouces" on the left-hand side, click on "compatability", then
click "freshwater"

i have 4 tiger barbs and they never attack other fish. i keep mine in groups (all my fish) so they feel safe. i have red finned sharks, bala sharks and iridescent sharks in my tank with the barbs and i never see them take a swim by them. actually my barbs never split. if you see one you see all four. if the barbs outnumber other fish they may become aggressive and try to "run" the tank and ive also found if theres one barb and say four other fish of the same species it may become scared and attack because of fear or it may soon die. . ive never had fantails so i cant help there sorry. hope the rest helps

They can kill fantails usually, it all depends on the size of the fish.

Tiger barbs are aggressive fish. I had them years ago and they attacked several fish that I had. You can do a search on what fish are compatable. Good Luck!

yes and i would opt to keep the fantails out of the tank , goldfish should not be kept with tropical community fish they produce an ammonia that is toxic to other fish
