I have a silver VW Jetta... I've had it for a year and still don't have a name for it. This is a shame. Maybe something German, but definitely has to be a girl. Something fun is a plus!

PS- no comments on how it is lame to name your car!

My last car was a white Honda Civic- "White Lightning"

Judy!

Judy Jetta..... if you are old enough to remember the Jetsons or to have seen them on TV...Judy Jetson was the teenage girl in their family. And, the German for Judy is Jutta. (Jutta Jetta)

It isn't lame to name your car - unless all guys are lame and girls just followed suit....

I named my van "Voyager" after the Star Trek show. My husband alternates between "Delta Flyer" and "The Defiant" for his truck. Thus far, my son has yet to name his car, but who knows?

It has to go with the color, so silver something. Just keep looking at it and feeling it. My silver 2006 Honda Accord was just named Silver Streak. I had a grey ghost ( a camry) and a Blue Skate (festiva) and an Electric Skate (Festiva with an automatic tranny), a black beast (suburban). I just got a dark blue 91 Maxda pick up and I need a name for it. Nothing has come forward yet.

Silke, Dagmar, Gabrielle (Gabi for short), Ivonne; I always liked those when I took German in high school. You could google some more though.

And it's definitely not lame. I have a silver Audi named Harvey. ^^

Helga

I don't know, I like that name. I would have called my Jetta that before I sold her on but she had already been named.

But Imelda means warrior in German. According to this site:

My friend named his car "Helen" because in the battle of Troy (the movie with orlando bloom?) she was the cause of the war because of a raging battle between two men that wanted her. She was charming, beautiful, and graceful. Why else would anyone not want her?

Hagen. It's the name of a mythologic germanic warrior who was afraid of nothing.
