Set up the equation:
3*(((X-2)/5)+7)=30
Solve for X
by:
1. Dividing 30 by 3 = 10
2. Subtracting 7 from ten = 3
3. Multiplying 3 by 5 = 15
4. Adding 2 to 15 = 17

All you have to do is work the problem backwards and do the opposite of what you are supposed to do. start with 30 divide by 3 with is 10. subtract 7 =3. multiply by 5 then you have 15 and then add 2. your answer is going to be 17

Work backwards. x=divide -=+
30 divide 3 - 7 x 5 + 2 = 10 - 35 + 2 = -27

To solve this you go backwards. 30/3=10, 10-7=3, 3*5=15, 15+2=17. The answer is 17.

Write and solve an equation:
[(x-2)/5 + 7]•3 = 30
(x-2)/5 + 7 = 10
(x-2)/5 = 3
x - 2 = 15
x = 17

There are 2 ways to interpret your question
1) using standard 4 operation (which you have to do the x and / first)
__ - 2 / 5 + 7 x 3 = 30
__ - 0.4 + 21 = 30
__ = 30 + 0.4 - 21
= 9.4
2) You placed comma in each operation, so we assume you want it step by step. We can do a reverse caculation (e.g add become minus, x become /, etc when u reverse the equation)
30 / 3 = 10
10 - 7 = 3
3 x 5 = 15
15 + 2 = 17
So, which way your question is asked?
