I need help w/my homework. XD I've finished most of it, but I need it checked and my brother is staying at his friends house while my parents have gone to my aunt's for cultural talk. And all that's left is my grandmother while cannot speak english. Anyway here's the assignment:

Find each subordinate clause and write the noun/verb that it describes beside it. Circle the subodinating conjunctions.

After Christopher Columbus made his voyages, many other Spanish explorers sailed to the Americas, which they called the New World. In 1502, Nicholas de Orlando and 2500 ithers set up a permanent settlement on Hispaniola, where they established sugar cane an tobacco plantations. While Orlando was colonizing Hispaniola, Balboa established a settlement near Panama. During the next Spanish expedition, which was led by Hernan Cortes, the Spaniards destoryed the Aztec empire. Ten years after Cortes seized the treasures of the Aztec, Pizzarro destoryed the mighty empire that the Incas built.

If the group of words can not stand alone as a clause then they are subordinate and modify a n/v elsewhere in the sentence. I have shortened the s. clauses by using .... for missing words.
