My husband and I have this ongoing argument I had a sprained ankle and a fractured fibula, hairline fracture, It has been a week since this happened and my ankle is still swollen and bruised. I drink vodka and cream soda mixture at night every night to relax me from this discomfort. He says I won't heal because of the drinks is he right or is he just trying to scare me?

What makes you think that drinking will help your ankle heal. You are going to need to see an orthopedic doctor. The longer you have this injury the worse your ankle might get. Please get to a primary CARE doctor.

All the alcohol is going to do is distract you from the pain...

It's not going to heal you.

And your husband is right...the alcohol will slow down the healing process.

Just take some pain killers that the doc gives you (assuming you went, or will go to the doc)
