You can only have your iPod synced with 1 iTunes (They don't want you bringing you pod to your friend's and getting his music, they want you to BUY it from them). Don't waste your time with third party software...I did the following and it worked perfectly:

Open iTunes and select edit/preferences/advanced/gene... Put a check mark in the box marked "copy files to iTunes music folder when adding to library" and also "keep iTunes music folder organized", then click 'ok'.

Then go to file/add folder, open 'my computer'

Then connect the iPod. after about 10 seconds, you will see your ipod come up in the 'my computer' section you have already opened. Double click your iPod.

The music files should transfer to your iTunes Automatically. by clicking the ipod as soon as it is connected, you beat the "Sync and Erase" option.

Once all your music is taken from your iPod and stored on iTunes, you can sync and erase your pod to sync with your new iTunes. Once you are synced, it will re-add all of your music to your iPod.

Good Luck!
