She is shocked my friend. She will be numb for years to come. You will need to read about shock syndrome if you care to be near her so you will not disturb her. She is like in another world, but reasonable so, so she does not go insane. Being there for her even if you never say a word, bring her food, take out her garbage, bring groceries and do it in a very quiet manner. TV may be too much for her at this time, but maybe elevator music when she gets a little better. Something very soft. Check out some of the contemporary Christan. The words may bring healing and comfort to her when she is ready to hear music period.

You don't. At first, she is very unlikely to want to discuss this with a man. Be there for her, tell her you care, but take her lead as far as talking goes. If a Rape Crisis worker has not come to see her, make sure they do.

Just stay with her and be a good friend. She should also get some professional help from a therapist. Just let her know that she is loved. I don't mean love love but you know what I mean right?

You are asking the wrong people. Talk to a therapist etc. Also it is something she will never want to talk about. I feel so bad for her...that is just the most awful thing.

You can't force her, just hang around often just in case she feels like she needs to open up suddenly. Let her know you will be around in case she needs anything and do just that. Good luck

i would say just be there for her...don't push her to talk about it if she's not ready yet...just tell her that you are there for her whenever she is ready to talk...also, encourage her to see a counselor to help her deal with this traumatic event
