If you did, what exactly happened? What did your parents say? I'm asking so I can get a better perspective on the consequences of plagiarism and tell my teacher so she can tell the class. She's hoping if people know the real consequences, less people will do it.

Most colleges have a no questions asked, immediate expulsion penalty for people who are caught plagiarizing. Mine does, and I can tell you most people do their own work because it's not worth getting kicked out of school over!

I took AP Psychology in severe college as a senior. Over Thanksgiving smash, we were assigned a paper. We were all exceedingly aggravated... Plagiarizing is not a good idea. People get kicked out of school for doing it.

I have always liked the perspective Tommy Lee Jones gave in "Man of the House"-- plagarism is an academic crime punishable by academic death.

No and never did. Just make sure that any thing that you write about contains Quotes and Sources.
