Next time, instead of hitting "graph" try hitting "zoom", then choose "standard". This should fix your window.

Yes, you should keep the calculator because you'll need it next year and for all other levels of math anyways. You'll also be using it for Algebra 1, and it's important, so don't return it. I would suggest you get a TI-84 instead because it'll last you longer, and TI-83 is more basic, and higher levels of math kind of look down on it. And when you take the End of Course test for Algebra 1, you'll thank God that you had it, trust me.

Try hitting the Zoom button and select Zoom Standard or any of the other options. It might work.

Hit Zoom then hit 6. Then adjust your window as necessary. Also, turn your plots off.

I think you got it
try going to the button beside it (window) and change the x and y max and mins it should work after you adjust them :)
