Be balanced...when people are unnecessarily uptight, insulting or whatever ...you do not get all emotional and insulting, but, more admirably, you are very correct with them, but very firm. This is a lot more surprising and a more mature reaction.
take life with a some cheer, some laughter...no need to be all uptight all the time...when people cross the line, put your foot down...if an outsider starts busting your balls, you simply heed them no more attention, and call their crack ' stop busting my balls'
You should be honorable and live by a code of values, but not be stupid. For example: uphold a fictitious law over the well being of your son....or expel a student just because of a simple mistake, which screws his entire life....you have to be reasonable...These things, which I see a lot, are just ignorant or insecure responses.
You live by a code, and you stick by the code, and then you never compromise. It doesn't mean you’re uptight, it means there are certain things you just don't do.
These are simple things like...you don't cheat, you don't lie, you’re nice to people who have reciprocated the same, you help those who have helped you out, etc.
But you’re a regular and casual person....but still are very upstanding lady or gentlemen.
That’s all. Find your way. But it’s a balance--don't be a nutcase....but don't be unnecessarily uptight.
It all works out from there.

-Choosing optimism is not a bad thing
Choosing to see the better in life is not being ignorant if you have acknowledged and accepted life as a whole- the good and the bad. It's ridiculous to accept an unfortunate future and a miserable world, that's a complete waste of life.
-Reality is unknown
There is a reality but it is unknown because of biases, distortions and unique formulation methods due to the mind. All social norms, morals (the concepts of what's good and bad) and the reality people create for themselves are all in the head. Without the human mind, it's obvious that there are no thoughts or concepts of morals or anything. This gives me an attitude of letting go of petty arguements and understanding the other person
-Death is not something worth fearing
I've always been the type of person to think, this isn't forever, one day it will go away and I'd always fear the loss of my family and friends (I've never been to a funeral actually), which is quite stupid of me and that was the only thing that kept that 10% of me believing in a 'god'. But that's life right? What are you going to do? Thinking about it won't stop it, I know it sounds cliche but death is inevitable. It's a small end to something as large as life. It makes life seem that much more important, I don't mean to sound like a hippie, free soul kinda person, but whatever
the meaning of life- for you to give it a meaning (the human mind is the only thing that can give anything 'meaning')
philosophy that is false, some have it easy while others don't, it's all in the eye of the perceiver

Yes that philosophy that I live by and feel is false. Yes! that's the one I don't want to live by .I do live by but only in my dreams as this life is an illusion and must be avoided as much as possible since in reality theirs no reality and so for as the real reality is no reality.so that's my false reason for living as you would put it if you were me but of course your not . you have no idea what I am saying here .so any ones philosophy is just what they have personally and doesn t really matter in the grand scheme of things now does it?But seriously having an attachment to this world is false and will bring one to doom.because Bad actions or Iron shackles and Good actions or Golden Chains.

the only personal "philosophy" i have learned during my xx years of existance is trying not to live in fear of anything. Fear just destroys you, there is no bad way of avoiding fear (i mean you dont have to face your fear, if you dont feel able of doing so try to learn how to ignore them), just try to put them aside and dont let them interfere with your life.
another thing i have learned is not to worry in advance. Face the problems when they are here not sometime before. Maybe that makes me a bit irresponsible but living constantly worried about problems yet to come is so tiring.
since i have learned to control fear i can tell you that i am much more free

I live by nihilism.
A philosophy that depends at all on an afterlife is false.

I believe that 'enlightened self-interest' is at best an oxymoron and at worst a shallow justification of selfishness.
Compassion is the only ticket to enlightenment.
