In music, we say there are two main aspects, consonence and dissonence- the dissonence is when everything sounds wrong and there is tension, consonence is that release. Through out all of time, through out all of the styles, we measure the good verses the bad in how they relate these too elements.

Happiness cannot come but through pain, there is no joy without tears. In music, there is no such things as a happy note or a happy chord. Any chord or note can be immensely happy or immensely sad or painful depending on the contexts- and composers strive to prove that over and over. It's the same with our lives. No event or action will always lead to happiness, only sadness- and once's your happy, you will become sad again.

But... feeling at easy with the winds of life, that is contentment... and that's what we really strive for. Not to fight or to anguish over why we can't be happy all the time, but to know that every sorrow is followed with sweetness, only to be taken away again.

People can answer this in many ways, like money or power, popularity among the opposite sex, sex in general, or just having others make your mood, for example helping people makes you happy or you may get your kicks from making people's life living hells. But then you have the people that say seeing the glass is half full makes them happy and blah blah blah

against popular belief. It is actually all of these. Despite thinking how evil it is to laugh when someone trips or spills hot coffee in their lap, it does kinda makes you a little bit happier because you see that someone is having a worse day than you. But having a optimistic point of view makes life a lot better because you get a little excitement when things go accordingly. Then you get to brag to others that your day is going better than theirs. Just don't do it to much because there is a such a thing called karma

There is no key but a pursuit....When and if you make it to heaven according to the word of God there will be mansions waiting for us i personal believe god will give you what ever your heart desires. Here in the world in this life you will never be truely happy dont get me wrong you can experience joy but never true happiness cause if you think about it you will never have and get everything you think will make you happy. As far as RELIGION i am not a religious person cause its not about religion its about RELATIONSHIP with the lord.

Knowing that satisfaction is separate from Happiness, happiness is found on the journey to satisfaction - satisfaction is the end of the rainbow - you never get there...but you choose to enjoy the journey.
Happiness is a choice. So the key would be choosing it.

I think the key to happiness is having good friends help you when you struggle. It doesn't matter if you have one friend or a thousand, but when you know that someone truly cares about you it warms the soul.

the key to happiness - love thyself.

A lot happens when you do, you're more confident, you worry less about stuff and therefore, a higher feeling of contentness comes about.

this is a simple answer of course, but worrying, stress and pressure causes a lot of strife & sadness in our lives.

we create worst-case scenarios for everything that happens to us daily. what we gotta remind ourselves is that 90% of these senarios never occur. It's just our minds scaring us. we all like a good scare. but that's bad for us in terms of happiness.

when we love ourselves, we think we cannot do anything wrong, even if we do, it's ok. and that is a comforting thought.

To have complete total undoubting faith,I have taken courses,in having faith. read positive thinking books, and the act of having faith is just absolutely amazing..The realization of the many things having faith has brought me is overwhelming sometimes when i think about it,this has nothing to do with religion of course.I heard some people talk about faith on the Larry King show a few weeks ago and how having faith has brought them so much, this is the most emportant thing I have ever learned in my life and I have read over 3000 books and gone to university.Peace.

Compassion for all living things leads to living within the world instead of fighting against it. That is the only way to know peace and true happiness (as opposed to mere diversion).
