Well my little brother is only 12 he will be 13 in two days. He has a painful lump close to his right nipple, just underneath it, that is growing. It hurts when he presses on it or pressure is applied. Please help me I'm really worried, does anybody know what this could be?

If it is just a growth it should be removed There's time involved here. First a doctor's visit and diagnosis then maybe outpatient surgery. Since I've been in outpatient surgery I must say I walked away with no pain at all. But surgery must be scheduled and doctors are all going on vacation this time of year so schedule an appointment soon to get the process started. We have some of the best medical care in the world so

It could be just a pimple under the skin, or a bruise. A possibility could be a form of gynecomastia which can occur in the teen years. This is the formation of female breast tissue in males. If it is that, your condition is a minor form of it and should go away on its own over a period of months. If you have had it for some time and are concerned that it has been with you for too long, time to see your doctor. Worse case scenario is cancer. While a possibility, it is highly unlikely for someone your age.

Sounds like a boil or a zit. Cancerous growths generally aren't that painful. But tell your folks to take him to the doctor who can lance it properly if need be. A lot of pus and blood will glop out onto the gauze and then your bro' will feel a lot better.

He needs to see a doctor. There is such a thing as breast cancer in males.
When my brother was that age he had three tumors removed from his chest/man breast area.
If it is sore it just might be a cyst. No matter what it is he definatly needs to see a doctor.

i dont think you should worry to much about it but if you are worring try this site www.webmd.com and search for it and if you Can figure out what it is take him to his doctor i could just be a zit with not head believe it or not it has happened to one of my friends before i no i must hurt be he just kept squeezing it and t popped

take him to a doctor, it may just be nothing more than a cyst. But it needs to be checked out asap

when i was about that age i had the same problem as well as my brothers. just keep punching him in the chest and by time he reaches 16 everything will be fine.

im 14 and me and alot of my friends have the same thing. i asked my nurse and she said its just a normal stage of puberty. these dumb asses saying its breast cancer are dumb.
