I am currently taking Algebra and need to buy a calculator for class. The instructor said that the lower end TI36 would work for the class. However, I will be taking Pre-Calculus soon. I will also be taking Business Calculus and Business Statistics 1&2 as well as other accounting and finance courses. Could someone recommended a model of graphing calculator that would best meet the needs for all these classes? I would like to go ahead and get one now at the start of all my math courses rather than buy new calculators as my courses progress, if possible.

Thanks!

Go to an office supply store (Staple's, Office Depot, etc.) and look for agraphing calc, TI, HP, Sharp's or Casio. They are all good. TI is probably the best, but are the most expensive. The TI-83 Platinum has the largest memory.

TI-85 is a good graphing calculator. Check on Ebay for prices Lots of them on there for pennies on dollar.

Your Ti83 plus is stable adequate for college pre-calculus....For AP Calculus at my intense college (similar to varsity Calculus a million), a Ti-eighty 3 replace into stable adequate as properly for graphing.
