I don't talk of it much, but I have never gotten over the destruction of my home planet, Krypton, and the death of my natural parents. I spend a lot of time reminiscing in the Fortress of Solitude.

I had a really bad tragedy happen two years ago, to me and my whole family. We never got over it. We still dont. Its very personal, but there are somethings that just never fully recover. But time makes it seem a little better.

I think we've all had tragedies. Most of us recover because in time, wounds do heal. There are some wounds that people must carry around with them, but they learn to cope and live with the pain.

Yes. My first son was stillborn. He had many medical problems. Tried to get him here so he could have the surgeries to fix his poor heart and kidneys. But in the end he didn't make it. I will never recover from it. I deal with it everyday.

Deaths, mother, father, brother, aunts and uncles, friends and people that were close to me..My brother died of a hidden heart condition at 44 shocked me to death.. it still gives me worries of that happening to me.. Also been through two hurricanes and the last one must have been pretty devastating.I didn't know it at the time but it caught up with me..Im still not over that but whatever it is ..the mind is strong and you will survive don't worry .. I have been through things that I never thought I could live through but somehow made it..

My father died of a heart attack. Before I could recover from that, I found my boyfriend dead in bed from a heart attack.
I don't feel sorry for myself...it could be soooo much worse...
my friend June lives in a small town ( a few hundred people)...her brother drove drunk, and killed two people from their town. He went to prison. His wife left him. June's parents split up, their house burned down, and her other brother was killed in a logging accident. Then, she was walking home from work, and a stranger kidnapped her at knife-point, and raped her.
When people tell me about how bad their life is, I tell them about June, and they agree that their lives aren't nearly as bad as they thought!!
