It is the basic duty of every human being in this beautiful world to take care of our parents, brothers, sisters and relatives.

While singing National Anthem on Independence Day or Republic day or while watching a movie every one of us will have over whelming patriotism and love and affection towards the dear and near. Do we follow this in reality?? Not at all.

People have become selfish. We do not bother about our
So called Indian Brothers and Sisters living in our neighbourhood.
Have we ever thought that at least a small portion of our earning must be spent to help the under privileged or helpless people around us?

I would like to state a quote from Prophet Mohamed's teachings.
Its applicable to one and all irrespective of religions, caste and community.

If every one of us take care of 40 house holds on our left and right to make sure that they do not financially suffer, the poor
community in this world will vanish very soon.

Are we ready to follow this beautiful and meaningful teaching to ERADICATE POVERTY from this wolrd?

Firstly, you can't MAKE some people work.

But for those who will, (though I'm not sure about India) in many places Capitalism basically creates a group of people who make a LOT of money, and then the rest of the population who work FOR those people who make all that money (and who don't think it's their duty to help out HUMANITY).

Since most world leaders are a part of this first group, I'm sure you can see why poverty is still rampant. This first group of people think that since they worked so hard to get where they are now (even if it was on the backs of these others), that they're OWED the chance to think only of themselves, rather than think of their fellow man (woman, child, etc).

Until the world converts to a society where we help each other and work for the betterment of HUMANITY rather than our own selfish desires, I'm afraid there will always BE poverty.

I'm going to preface this by saying that when I say "you" I don't mean you personally but your nation.

Planet earth is not a spaceship. Its a lifeboat, and a small one at that. The reason for poverty is selfishness. Poor people that can't or can barely feed themselves selfishly have children who are also going to be poor and unable to feed themseves. They delude themselves into thinking this is ok, that they have a "right" to do this. They pretend they are not responisble for the life of suffering their children will have. All this so the morons can climax or play mommy and daddy for a couple years. OR if they are really selfish maybe they are looking forward to using the kid like a slave and guilt tripping it into taking care of them when they are old. So tell all those poor people to quit trying to dump their kids into your lifeboat. I have sympathy for the children but only until they become adults and make the problem worse.

This is NOT a problem with your government. Its a problem with your people. Mexico, china, and africa have the same problem. They all put such a high cultural value on pride and children and little or none on social responsibility, although they used to but not in the last couple hundred years. I love the hindu people, and the chinese, perhaps even more than my own, but your cultures are degenerating. Quit watching TV and examine yourselves. You have a rich culture and history. You achieved a spiritual development thousands of years ago to which other nations are only starting to aspire. You should have more self respect and respect for others. Quit throwing your trash out your windows and into the streets. It isn't your governments responsiblity to clean up after you or spoon feed you. Doing so only means taking money from you to pay people to do that and its cheaper and wiser for you to do it yourselves. Your government's responsibility is to provide for national defense, so you are not all carrying pictures of chairman mao. It is not its responsibility to visit your house every day with a box of food and a roll of toilet paper.

Also, quit letting people goad you into ruining your nation in the name of 'development'. This is just rich people abusing your pride to get you to buy into deceptive practices like 'globalisim' which really mean making your nation dependent on others so they can rob you blind and ultimately rule you. The same stuff has been hapening here in America for the last 50-80 years and its caused our dollar to loose 90% of its value. It used to be that one man could work 40 hours a week and provide for a family of four. Now it takes two people just to pay rent and buy food.

Globalism is bad for india. Anyone telling you otherwise is either a fool or corrupt. They are trying to lure you into wanting to "take" from the rest of the world rather than create domestically. Believe me, every nation that goes this route ends up loosing in the long a lot more than it gains in the short.

Every nation has a limited amount of resources. Especially arable land and fresh water. You can't make bread from sand and your land will only support so many people. When you start importing food to feed your people you need to examine yourselves at a national scale.

As long as there are people in the world there will be sin and people who will take advantage of others. Many upper class people want to keep others down or there wouldn't be anyone for them to look down upon.
