Some context:
Ever notice how some demographic groups tend to date interracially, while others do not? Namely, white men and black women tend not to date interracially, while white women and black women commonly date interracially. I mean, go to any major city and just look around you. Sure, you might see a white guy with a sista once in a blue moon, but that's for every dozen (or MORE) black men you see dating a white woman!
My question is: how is it that black women can *almost* ALL be dating a black man, but you still see SO many black men dating white women? Now that doesn't bother me, they can HAVE all the white women for all I care, I just wanna know how it works.
I see only three possibilities:
1) There are millions MORE black men than black women alive today in the U.S.
2) Millions of black women keep vows of celibacy.
3) Most of the black men you see with a white woman, also have a second black girlfriend.
4) Please tell me how this works, and please say it's not 3!!!

Yeah proff, so am I!
That's why I like foreign/exotic/black WOMEN.
As a Montanan who has lived in Argentina and who takes dance lessons (meaning I got lots of my own flavor and plenty spicier than a lot of one-city-men of ANY color), I can kinda sympathize with the white chicks who want black men, but I can't understand how these sistas let themselves get cheated on so blatantly.

I think your observation is true. I think most black women have misconceptions about dating white men as do white men about dating black women. Many black woman can admittedly find a white man attractive but would never dream of dating him and especially taking him home. I don't know why white women and black men have been able to overcome this. I think it is because in our society white women are seen as objects of desire, feminine, passive, loyal, etc. so for a black man, he wouldn't have as many misgivings about pursuing a relationship with them as a white man would with a black women who is our society are characterized as being overbearing, loud, domineering, aggressive, promiscuous etc. . Before I met my b/f I mostly dated white men and some of the ones who had never dated a black woman before were very insecure about how other people perceived our relationship. The same holds true for black women. I don't know if you saw the movie "Something New" when the black female character was embarrassed to be seen with her white date because she was afraid of other black people thinking she was selling out. But that sentiment seems to hold true in the black community. I have heard people (namely black men) say upfront, if a black man is with a white woman it is okay but it is not okay for a sista to be with a white man. Our society has been slower to embrace that type of union.

Actually your observation that there are far more BM/WF couples than WM/BF couples seems to be becoming less true in a big way, if what I've seen is any indication. Over the last few years, more and more black women have expanded their dating options to include white men. I think the next census will bear that out.
Besides, a good number of BF are not dating anyone. Not because of any vow of celibacy, but (sadly) because there are too few marriageable/promising BM around. That's one reason more are dating men of different races. And I say more power to them.

Don't take this personal, but I think white women are
tired of the same old ho hum ho hum. Blacks and
latinos and foreigners have a better conversation,
they usually can dance and definitely have a sexier
persona. Conversation gets boring with an intelligent
women when all you talk about is other races of people,
other ethnic backgrounds, the Jews etc. You needs ta
get some flava'. The minorities are carrying most of the
burden of satisfying most all the women, therefore its
not surprising that these guys have several girlfriends.

That's not the case at all according to recent stats. In fact, white women prefer Asian men before an African American man. It's surely the other way around, it seems. AA women leaving AA men.

In my town (which is small).....
white women and black men is an extremely popular combination.
Honestly, I was shocked moving from Chicago to a tiny town in Tennessee. It's vey racist here in mostly a silent way (most dangerous), yet there are so many mixed raced couples. Of course, Chicago is cool...no one cares up there.

What does it matter and what statistical evidence can you provide for it?
I mean seriously, you probably go to the same Wal-Mart everyday or something.
