No one should have to go through the pain and trauma of being sexually abused at any age, whether an adult, child or teen. I hope that now that the secret is revealed she can go on to repair the damage done by the family friend revealing her deepest, darkest secret for money and for what happend long ago and go on with her life with her true and dearest friends and family members behind her supporting her.

I think it's devastating, but I find it odd she doesn't talk about how she may have greived the loss of her child...just the betrayl of a relative who disclosed she had a baby as a 14 year old.
Come on, who could really hold that against her after being sexually abused, especially since she was 14. She went on to become the most successful woman in the entertainment industry. A poor, fat, black woman achieved what society said she shouldn't have.

This was strictly her business...when she felt comfortable to tell non-family members, this also was her business...I respect and commend her for overcoming her childhood abuse and subsequent pregnancy...Oprah is a true humanitarian...

I don't know. I know she was a troubled child and had a tough life. I am not informed enough about the situation. Was this when she was younger or is she pregnant now??

i think everyone has something in their past that is pain filled and they would rather not share. it would be devastating to have a trusted family member spill your secrets for money
