It's a very pretty name but some people might not know how to pronounce it. I think you want it to be like Ka-MY-a. Right? You might also want to consider Kamilla. It sounds like it and has a K A M I and A so it looks about the same. Good luck!

Kamiya is very nice and if I'm not mistaking it may mean in Latin temple servant.

Its is some what cute, but I think once she gets to school she will hate it b/c it will constantly be pronounced wrong. Trust me I know how terrible that is. My proper name is Destephan (Dee-Steph-Ann) and alot of people pronounce it (Dee-Steph-On),(Dee-Steph-fin) or (Dee-Step-Han). So I wound up calling myself stephie all through school and now in college!
