No, you can't put bettas with goldfish. You can't put anything with goldfish except goldfish. If you'd done some research before buying fish, you'd know that goldfish need cold temps. while bettas need warmer temps. Also, goldfish are dirty and need a good filter and large tank, and neither should be kept in a bowl.

And to the girl above me, bettas can NOT be put together. They will kill each other. I can't believe some of the things I see on here sometimes!

bettas are aggressive and territorial fish so theyre not recommended to be with any other fish that i know of even bettas. but in my experience they have done well with millies and korydoras. goldfish put out alot of waste and ammonia and this may cause issues with the betta. bettas are comfy in most any size tank i recommend a small 1-3 gallon bowl for the betta.

Any fish it particularly is chuffed in a tank has no reason to commit suicide & bounce, till he's attempting to capture an insect which got here about to relax on the fringe of the tank (truly a million to at least one twist of destiny). both maximum likely causes are undesirable water high quality & too warmth water. you should keep up regularly happening water ameliorations and the smaller the tank the more suitable in a lot of cases the water replace, so truly purely get a good length generic tank (good for both the betta & your self). As for the temp, under no circumstances placed any tank the position there is direct image voltaic. the hotter the water the a lot less oxygen it holds, the more suitable uncomfortable for the fish and the speedier the water high quality deteriorates (fish poop breaks down speedier).

First off, I would get rid of the goldfish, yuck. Just playing around. but seriously, they won't go along very well, for one - goldfish have longer fins, bright colors etc, which will attract the betta to you know fight it. So my answer is no, i would suggest keeping your betta either along in a 5 gallon tank no less, or keep him with small fast tetras or gold barbs, these work great. good luck.

No. Bettas are tropical fish that need temps between 78-85 degrees. Goldfish are coldwater fish that needs temps below 72 degrees.

I had a goldfish and a betta in the same bowl and they were fine!
My betta was old though, and the goldfish didn't really go near it. But they'd swim around and nothing ever happened. Just remember to put both foods in because they wont eat each others.

I also have a betta in with some fish that are stripped and some little black fish and again no problems....

Betta's will only fight other bettas from what I know.

No, they have different water requirements.

Goldfish are cold water fish that require lots of filtration because of the excessive ammonia they produce. They require 20+ gallons.

Betta fish do better with a heater. Filtration is good, but make sure the current isn't strong. They are happy in a smaller tank of 5 gallons.

Yes. Bettas only seem to fight amongst each other. Sometimes they will pick at long finned fish such as fancy guppys if they look simular to a betta. If your goldfish doesn't have long fins they should be a ok!

No, you cannot put a Betta fish with any other fish. it will try to kill it. A Betta fish is otherwise known as a Japenese Fighting fish.

I am not sure, but I wouldn't. Keep goldfish with goldfish and betta's with betta's.
