YES!!! The PS3 is 99.9% backwards compatible with both PS and PS2 games, it can also play CD's, DVD's, and UMD's(UMD:Only if you have a PSP hooked up.)(PSP can also be used as a controller or a remote, it can stream music, video, and other downloadable content to and from the PS3)The PSP can be used for a in controller screen. The Playstation 3 wil beat the X360 because the X360 is only compatible withit's top selling games
