i own a repair shop,and it can be done in one day real easy with the right tools to do it with,and a good work area helps a lot,but that's a usual time for swapping one of those out,good luck,i hope this help,s.

Well to get you an idea of what has to be done, we will use my car for example. The first thing you got to do is remove the exhaust. My car has roughly 3 or 4 bolts that holds it on along with some exhaust rubber bands. I would say it takes about 15 mins to get it out. The next thing would be to detach the drive shaft from the tranny. I would say 8 bolts or so with 30min getting it out, maybe less. Next you got to detach the tranny from the engine, roughly 9 to 15 bolts some in tight areas. Then there is the transmission mounts, there is about four. The tranny then has to be lowered down, the clutch and what not have to be removed and placed in the new tranny along with the shifter. Sometimes the shifter has a few bolts and wires that need undone too. Most trannys will have a electric switch that has to be remove and put on the new tranny then readjusted. Everything has to be in perfect alignment too and then put back together. Also I think the clutch has to be bled too. I would say that it takes any where from 7 to 9 hours...

You see what I am saying.

don't listen(in this case ) to Dodgeman.He has been a mechanic for years and he will say 7 hour labor ..easy!!

nooooooo.....waayyyyy.
is metric and You need special tools (that he own since 20 years ego)
and lot of knowledge!!!!
I can tell not big deal
but, since You asking, I let you know.

if You asking to know how much You gonna pay in labor? is different
check in severals places in Your area.
