While Latin was first introduced to the Italian peninsula around the 9th or 8th century BC via northern migrants, Sanskrit dates back at least 1500BC. This is in reference to the spoken languages. The scripted forms are slightly less ancient, with both having existing examples dating around 700BC and 500BC, respectively.

Although each are ancient, neither is the oldest.

Sumerian, a Cuneiform logophonetic script from Mesopotamia, and Elamite, another logophonetic script from the same area, are known to have existed as far back as 3300BC.

The earliest inscription in Latin characters, dating from the 7th century BC, was made on golden brooch known as Praeneste Fibula

The Sanskrit language first emerged around 2,000 to 1,000 B.C.E.

A complete writing system in Chinese characters appeared in China 3200 years ago during the Shang dynasty, making it what is believed to be the oldest “surviving” writing system.

The oldest written language is Hieroglyphic Egyptian.
It dates from the Early Dynastic period (2020-2573BC)
The texts dating from this time are mainly related to official, religious writings ,or tomb inscriptions.
Biographical documents have also been found and translated as well.
But unfortunately most are fragmented.
Among the religious writings are the first interpretations of the famous mythology of the Egyptians. In very early form.
Egyptian hieroglyphic writing evolved over the numerous eras and dynasties.
The last or most recent examples of its use are found at the Temple of Philae, and have been dated at 394AD.
The Coptic Church in Egypt still use a form of hieroglyphs in their liturgical writings.
Addit: Mesoptamian pictgraphs were printed or stamped letter by letter,it was not a written language as such.
