The weather forecasters keep talking about snow on the high ground. I'm on the high ground but there's no snow, why do they keep getting my hopes up like this?

no snow here this season at all.they keep saying snow,but it never does only rains .i live in tennessee.i miss my michigan winters[sometimes]
