The one advantage to having a King is that he is in for life and you do not have to vote for him.
The one advantage to having a President is that after his term you get to vote for someone else.
I personally like a President over a King because a president does not serve for life.

In some countries, a monarchy has absolute power for life, in others (like England) the monarchy is a figure head and the government is an elected two house Parliament.

In the presidency (in the US) our president must answer for his/her actions to the people. While the congress over sees his actions, and the justice system oversees all. Our three part government runs checks on each other, keeping all honest. there are countries that have presidents, but are more like a strong and non-ending monarchy.

So select the countries you want before detailing the governments. Suggest USA and England

Monarchs are able to take a long-term view, as they are in power for life. They don't have to play games to ensure re-election. They are not beholden to parties or politics (at least not in the same way). Monarchs can get things done without the approval of the voters, Congress, or the judiciary.
