Um, I have a little mustache, and its a little embarassing, so I have tried waxing and it hurts too much, and bleaching, which doesn't help much either. Like, 30 minutes ago, I used this prouduct thats supposed to make th ehair fall out. I did the test and everything, putting it on my elbow so I know if I am allergic to it or not----and I'm not. But I just tried it, and it hurts like hell, stinging, and the area is all rediish-pinkish, and sorta puffy. Is this supposed to happen?!

Thanks,
----------------Lillie

Those hair remover creams are very chemical, do not use them on your face which is way more sensitive than your arm. Rinse the stuff off, and put some neosporin to prevent an infection. Also, yes they make the hair fall off, but not from the root, so it is almost the same thing as shaving!!! I know it hurts, but you really need to wax. It will be painful the first couple of times, but after, you will barely feel it. This is the only way hair gets finer (since you are removing from the root). You could also invest in laser removal or electrolysis. It won't be very expensive because it is a small area, and the results are permanent :o)

it's possible you left it on too long. i use depilatories often and a certain amount of "oddness" in the area is normal. think about it - you just put some chemicals on your face. minor puffiness and a slight change in color are totally safe. the stinging is probably a sign that you could have an allergy to the product. if you try it again and it starts to sting, remove it immediately.
but whatever you do, DON'T SHAVE YOUR FACE. my great-gandmother shaved her face for years and now she has 5 o'clock shadow and gives us all razor burn. that's definitely not what you're aiming for.
try the product again once hair is noticeable but don't leave it on as long as you did before. when it's time to take it off, gently use a wet washcloth or use your hand to remove it and then towel dry your face and rub the loose hair off gently.

It sounds like you are allergic to the product on your face. The skin on your face is more sensitive than the skin on your arms. Plus the skin above your lip has more nerve endings and blood vessels than your arm skin.

Use a cool washcloth on the area to reduce swelling and puffiness. I would suggest you visit a dermatologist or go for a consultation at a laser hair removal center.

wax, wax, wax.!!!!!!!!!!!!!its very embarassing. i should know, went through the same thing. wax works best. make sure wax is no too hot or cold.beauty and pain go hand in hand. as time goes by you will be used to the pain. and less hair growth is noticable. so you will wax once a week for a month. then hair does become thinner and hair growth lessens. so you will probably only need to wax maybe six times a year. you need to do this, that litte piece of peach fuzz can mess with your self esteem.

oh god no..you may not be allergic to it on your elbow, but faces are really sensitive..i tried some stuff that did the same thing to my face, i through it out..the burning and swelling will go away, but may take a couple days..i just recently found this thing called Tweezy..it works like tweezers, its electric, cost 20.00, and all you do is use it on the hair you want removed..it pulls the hair out by the roots and lasts for days..its not painful..if you need any more info, email me..nikb82006@yahoo.com..

you probable did in reality have an allergic reaction-strong component you examined it first, because the better lip is a lot extra smooth. to respond to the mustache dilemna, i might want to recommend merely going ahead and getting the wax. effective it hurts, yet you received't ought to do it that often. bypass to a salon, or merely use tea tree oil after, and it is going to soothe the exterior. I actually have a chum that makes use of Nair on her face. She wonders why she breaks out. :)

oh no!
take some ibuprofen, that should help reduce swelling and ice the area. it should go away in about a day.
it probably mean the inside of your elbow skin is sensative there.

your upper lip is probably irritated a little since it is a really sensitive area, unlike your elbow...it should go away pretty soon...
