Good question

First you can report any suspicious behaviour that you may witness. Maybe 9-11 could have been avoided. Don't feel that it probably is nothing.

Stand up for the rights of others. If others loose their freedoms, yours could be next.

Don't let other people tread you under.

Read and understand the Constitution and the Bill of Rights of the United States. (Something I should do as well)

Do not abuse, or allow the abuse of the system. It may not be perfect at times, but it is what we have. Join a group who is trying to make changes within the system, if you feel strongly about something.

And the number one -- CAST YOUR VOTE ON VOTING DAY. It is the best tool that we have.

That depends on the country I suppose. In the United States there is this document called the Bill of Rights. In the document there are guarantees of certain freedoms. These are being lost today.

This 4th Amendment to the constitution is being lost. You could speak truth to power.

Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Also the the 5th Amendment (due process clause) is becoming quaint. Probably others.

Amendment V

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
