The Twins just signed this SP to a 1 yr contract, but I have no idea how much he can bring to the table. From his stats it looks like he may have had a couple bad years, but do you think that he could have a breakout season? Also, does he have any good stuff?

a terrible season. these days, anyone can hit a fastball, so if thats all you throw, your going to give up a lot of hits. ortiz needs to improve his stuff, which will take longer than one season. even though he may be learning from the best pitcher in the league. also, take into consideration that the twins are used to having to only put up 2 or 3 runs per game, since their starting pitching (santana and liriano) will not give up more than that, and their bullpen is outstanding. i would say ortiz finishes 11-18 with a 4.65 era approx

He's finished, at this point he'd be a descent middle reliever. He used to have OK stuff, but he's lost it over the past few years and he has given no signs of becoming a good pitcher again.

he's goin to have to have a good season since Liriano is out. I figure he'll be a decent addition winning 10-12 games

He throws hard, but he also gives up alot of homes. Hope you don't get whiplash watching him pitch.
