If you mean knights today (which I assume since you say 'it can't be like pretend' and 'get' rather than got knighted), there is no one pattern of daily life as there are so many of them - over 1000 knights and over 1000 baronets (hereditary knights).

Most knights of the Garter and the Thistle, the two highest orders, are elderly hereditary peers who are often rich and have performed some sort of public service. All the knights of the order of St Michael and St George are people who have served Britain abroad, like diplomats. The knights of the Victorian order have worked for the royal family. Many knights are in the military or civil service. Some are big businessmen, but others are things like school headmasters.

It is impossible to describe a typical day in the life of a knight today, though one thing some have in common is that some of the orders of knighthood have annual or biannual church services where they dress up in robes and pray. The only form of knighthood which still comes with any responsibility is the Military Knights of Windsor but I don't know much about them. The website www.royal.gov.uk might help.
