If you have either ETHER or rubbing ALCOHOL, then you're ready to knock out the frog. Just dab a ball of cotton in either of these liquids, then place the frog inside a big glass or a small pitcher, big enough to accommodate the frog inside. You do this by placing the glass or pitcher UPSIDE DOWN on the frog, relatively immobilized flat on a surface by holding it down with your hands or some small rope.
Then, with the moistened cotton ball, quickly slide inside the glass by carefully lifting the glass a tad on one side. Wait a while. This will anesthesize the frog within a minute or so. By the way, you may have to experiment a few times how much of the ether or alcohol you need. A lot will kill it.
I know you had to do it but poor frog. Do not name him or her with some sweetie names. Use Frog X or Y. It will be easier that way.
Are you able to stitch the frog back after dissection? Because if not, for the most part, the frogs will die after dissection.

Well i've seen on Days of Our Lives once someone was drinking some booze (i think brandy or whiskey) while some one else was doing there stitches but I suggest as someone who has seen many REAL "ER" shows ("Untold Stories of the ER" ext.) that you just go to a clinic or something that can do orianged payments (no place cant not treat you because you cant pay) because there is a high risk of infection and if you do it yourself there is also a risk of injuring yourself (going into shock) even more (especially with one arm or if you plan to drink to numb the pain) on alot of those shows the people end up paying more then if they would have just gone to the doctor in the 1st place, unless you know someone who is in the medical indestry who can do it for you and check up on it, but other than that i wouldnt trust anyone else to do it.

Ether, available at car shops near you. Keep in mind, though, that what you'll find probably won't be medical quality and will almost surely be harmful to you.

Ether may work. However, it is easy to apply too much ether, causing death. The smaller the animal, the more likely fatal.
