Totally normal. Oscars are territorial and will fight unless there is lots of space and lots of cover to break up line of sight. The lip locking is not mating, it is fighting, you are probably going to have to separate them.
What size tank are they in?

Well, I'm going to assume that you did not research your new fish before buying them and bringing them home. Therefore, I'm also going to assume that your tank is nowhere near the rerquired 150 gallons or so that you would need to keep four oscars together once they're more than a few inches long. Because oscars reach lengths upwards of 12" in their adult lives and are extremely terratorial *predators* that originate in Africa. If your tank is 55 gallons or larger then just take three back to the store you bought them from (though even 55 gallons isn't really enough for a full grown specimen), otherwise take them all back and try another species. Also, researching new pets before bringing them home is a habit you should really get into, whether it's fish, dogs, birds, cats or whatever.

It is possiable they are getting ready to mate, however, they all may just be fighting for territory?
Do you know if it is a male chasing females?
Here are some breeding items:
When breeding them be aware that some times males can kill the female in typical cichlid fashion. Breeding Oscars is easy as long as the water is clean and you raise the temperature from the normal 25°C (77°F) to 28°C (80°F). The female will choose a flat rock to lay her eggs (about 1000 eggs) and the male will fertilize them.
The opaque eggs will turn transparent in 24 hours and hatch after 2 or 3 days.
Watching a pair of Oscars breeding is an experience that is both thrilling and full of action. Over a period of several days the couple will work nonstop and build mountains of gravel around the aquarium. Like typical lovers they will chase each other, perform courtship dances and occasionally argue and fight. All these mood swings will be accompanied by intensifying color changes in the patterns on their skin.
Infertile eggs are white in color. As weird as it may seem, at times 2 females can engage in mating behavior.
Please remember that water quality is extremely important. A 25% daily water change and prompt removal of all food residues is mandatory, not only as a prior condition for spawning but especially after eggs and fry are present. When they are free-swimming offer the fry newly hatched brine shrimp several times per days.

No they are not mateing. Oscars arent even sexually mature until they are about 7-9 inches. They are showing who is stronger. What size tank do you have? When Oscars are bigger, they need AT LEAST 55 gallons per one Oscar.

I would suggest seperating them. They are probably fighting over territory or a potential mate. Sometimes it helps to move the plants and deccorations around in your tank once a week so none of the fish can establish a definate territory. Sometimes a larger tank helps too!

This is normal, if you own a oscar, I trust you know they need at least 80 gallons when young, they can get really aggressive when they don't have enough room.

chiclids/oscars are mean fish, any fish smaller than them, they will attack and kill.......it's a space issue.....i have one that i had to separate from the rest of my tank because he nearly ate my gold fish to death, even though for months they had been living together peacefully......it's just their nature.....get a bigger tank so they all have their space, but it's not a guaranteed way of solving the problem.
