Since all of you in one form or another answered "Yes" that you feel people should take responsibility for their actions, do you believe the following:

Abortions should only be allowed for victims of rape and incest? If no, then why shouldn't the two people who did the deed to make the baby have to live with the consequence?

We should not raise minimum wage? If no, should those people who desire not to make anything of themselves live comfortably for their laziness (eg: Not getting an education, not working hard to get out of poverty)? And, it's a common fact that the mentally and physically handicapped can, and many do, work, so don't use that excuse.

If a person is convicted of brutal premeditated murder, he/she should be put to death? If not, why should the family of the victims and the tax payers in general be forced to provide them a comfortable life in prison until they die naturally?

Thanks for your time!

I sorta knew this was coming, even guessed right that abortion would be your follow up.

1) Abortion -- No I don't beleive you should force people --- and it's usually just the woman to raise an unwanted child because they/she stupidly had unprotected sex. I beleive however, that people should use birth control and women should consider adoption as a alternative. I don't beleive the state should force women to have babies. Prohibiting abortion doesn't stop it, just drives it underground.

2) I don't think raising the minimum wage to $7.25 encourages anyone to be lazy or not work hard to get out of poverty - $300 a week is still a very crappy wage and really doesn't allow a person to "live comfortably".

3) I don't beleive the state should put people to death. I don't think life in prison is a "comfortable life". And people do still get falsely convicted of murder.

Now you go are going to call me a hypocrite, but remember I said "generally speaking", the minimum wage question isn't really about taking personal responsibility for your actions, and my answer to three speaks for itself.

Abortion:
Why should someone be punished and forced to full term of pregnancy. The person being punished for having sex is the woman.
Why would you force anyone to be pregnant? Why would you allow a child to have a child if they are underage? Why do you think it is your business what a woman keeps in her uterus? Why would you force a woman or teenager to remain pregnant even i if she wasn't raped either by a stranger or father, brother or cousin? Why would you want sex to be associated with punishment. why would you want pregnancy associated with punishment? Why would you want bringing an unwanted child into the world associated with punishment?
I don't like abortion either, but I abhor the thought of going back to the old days when women were butchered in back allies trying to have an abortion because she was scared to death of having a child with no support. It's o.k to think abortion is wrong, but don't legislate a woman's body and what she should do with it. Advocate birth control use and abortion rates will dramatically decline. That is the only proven method to reduce abortion rates. Illegalizing it makes it extremely unsafe for the woman and her life and it will never stop abortion.
In addition, most abortions happen before the cluster of cells is even considered a fetus according to medical definitions. That is before the end of the first trimester.
Abortion is a very personal for a woman decision that the government has no right to interfere with. This is the very reason why government should not be involved because it is a personal issue in which one must take personal responsibility for.

People who make minumum wage are not lazy, contrary to your prejudice against working people who happen to be poor. Many of these people work 2 or 3 jobs just to make ends meet. Are you always so judgemental against working families? What makes you think they aren't trying to make something of themselves. My god, you people are into punishment of others who don't meet your standards or those of Donald Trumps.

As far as the death penalty is concerned, I'd like to see it more rare than it is now. But believe me, those who are vicious murderers should be put to death. I have no feelings for them whatsoever. But I also believe in rehabilitation and a life sentence if they feel remorse, turn their life around and contribute to society.

I agree completely. Personal responsibility is what this country needs.
Also to save the mother's life.
Cost of living adjustment indexed to inflation is the way to go.
We should enforce the death penalties like Iraq did with Sad Dam. Thirty days for an appeal is plenty of time.

Ignorance Atten-hut!

"If no, should those people who desire not to make anything of themselves live comfortably for their laziness (eg: Not getting an education, not working hard to get out of poverty)?"

Hey idiot! What was the net worth of Adolf Hitler?

Neo-cons accuse everyone on min wage of being lazy and desiring not to make something of themselves. This is what these new-republicans think of those who make less money than they do. For them, making money equates to being a better person than others. I make a decent living myself. Does that make me better than others?

just as i do not believe in abortion, i do not believe that it is our right to put someone to death for a crime. it is not our job to decide who should live or die. it is gods. we have decided as nation to put criminals behind bars and to take on the cost it will incur, and that is what we should do, no matter the crime. as for abortion, it is terrible when pregnancy occurs due to abuse or rape, but did the child ask to be created? is it his/her fault they are now there? they are innocent and we should not put them to death because of an accident or a terrible assault on the mother.

neo would keep a criminal alive and kill an innocent child in the protective womb of its mother. the child was conceived against many conditions that could destroy it, yet it lives, clinging to life. how does that make sense, why is one life more important than another?

1. Abortion is the womans choice. It is her body - she decides. It is her personal responsibility what to do, it is the fathers personal responsibility to provide for his child if she decides to keep the child.

2. This has absolutely nothing to do with personal responsibility from the low paid workers side - it has to do with opportunity and basic human dignity. Responsible adults have an obligation to help those in need. Do you dispute this?

3. Using your own philosophy - did you know it costs more to execute someone in the US today than it does to keep them in prison for life on average? The primary reason is responsible caring adults should act civilized instead of exacting revenge on someone we can never be absolutely 100% certain is guilty. Death is irreversible.

Did you know that republican have little to no miscarriages!!! Seeing as there isn't a lot of funerals for baby who were never born. After all seeing as the "babies" are real people shouldn't there be a proper funeral for them just like any other family member!!! There fore the only conclusion one can come too is that they have little to no miscarriages. What other possible reason could there be?
Even filthy criminal get buried properly.

As a liberal, I agree that abortion is premeditated murder and anyone associated with an abortion should be charged with murder. Prosecuted and executed.

Now what about no statute of limitations on murder. Can we arrest and execute everyone that has ever had an abortion.

Also every man that has ever got a women pregnant should be charger as accessory to murder and executed.

Every doctor every attending assistant every clinician all guilty
