My gourami has been pregnant forever and I cannot lower my water levels that are recommended because of all of my angelfish? What will happen to the mama?

Gouramis do not get pregnant. They are egg layers. They do not need the low water level, they will lay the eggs as long a as male is there to spawn with and fertilize the eggs. The lower water level just makes it easier for the fish to pick up the eggs and put them in the bubblenest.

Have you considered putting her in a breeder tank or putting a divider in your tank that will separate her from the angels. If you do put her in a separate tank be sure to use water from your existing tank. She will not need as much room as she has now. I would recommend a 5 or 10 gal tank.

Not a fish person but....

Can you not get a separate small tank for the proud mum? At least until the birth; then use one of those floating nursery tanks so that the newborn could get used to the original tank and it's inhabitants?

I think you should move the angelfish to another small cheap tank for know. And then you should put them all together again.
